Endocrine Energy Coffee Date Shake

(Defend Superblend)

Serves 1 • Paleo / Vegan + Dairy-free optional / Caffeine-free optional

Coming at you with another shake. This one’s all about hormone love, with a caffeine kick. Fiber-rich dates add the perfect touch of natural sweetness, nut butter brings some protein and creaminess, and Defend Superblend delivers a synergistic combo of adaptogens, functional mushrooms + tonic herbs to protect your nervous system from coffee’s draining effects and support hormone balance and deep, long lasting energy.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup milk of choice 
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, chilled*
  • 1 serving JOYÀ Defend Vanilla-Maca Superblend
  • 1 soft, pitted Medjool date
  • 1 tbsp almond butter (or other nut butter of choice)
  • optional: 1 scoop collagen powder 
  • optional: 1 tsp chia seeds
  • ½ cup crushed ice

Notes *To make with espresso, use 1-2 shots espresso + water to total 1 cup. For a caffeine-free version, use decaffeinated coffee or 1 tsp instant herbal coffee + 1 cup water.

How to

  1. Add all ingredients (except ice) to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and no chunks of date remain. 
  2. Add ice and blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
